Jazz-Espa Announces More Performers
Jazz-Espa, celebrating its 25th anniversary, announces additional performers. Alongside the previously announced concerts, there will be additional performances at 1 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the festival week.
Tuesday, July 30 saxophonist-composer Pauli Lyytinen will perform a solo concert exploring saxophone and electronics.
Wednesday, July 31 Estonian pianist Kirke Karja will perform in a duo with saxophonist Mikko Innanen. Concert is organized in collaboration with the Estonian Embassy in Helsinki.
Thursday, August 1 the Wishamalii trio, led by pianist Kari Ikonen, will feature the oud and singer-oud player-composer Nemat Battah.
The festival will also include jazz-related panel discussions on Monday and Friday. The updated discussion program is available on the website.
